Manage all aspects of programs - contractual, schedule, cost, and technical. Oversee and direct the functional teams (including Engineering, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Test) to ensure that all contract requirements and financial goals are met. Establish goals and objectives required to manage programs through completion. Responsible for the planning and control of multiple production programs including test readiness, production readiness, material procurement, assembly, test, inspection, quality, risk management, obsolescence management. Manage customer relationships and communicate weekly status. Manage and facilitate weekly Integrated Program Team (IPT) meetings. Review and analyze test and inspection yield data and manage root cause and corrective action for failure trends. Accountable for business development for assigned programs and the capture of new business with existing program customer. Collaborate with business development to establish growth strategies and executes growth initiatives.
Production oriented build to print contract manufacturing background.
Familiar with Supply Chain activities, Material management, Line of Balance, ERP systems.
Candidate will Oversee the production process flow from initial RFQ stage to final shipment of product.
Work closely with the company’s core departments (Product Engineering, Test, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Production), to ensure customers delivery goals and revenue targets are achieved.
Skills / Qualifications:
Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job typically acquired through at least ten (10) years of directly related work experience including four (4) years leading multiple projects/programs of varying complexity and scope and direct leadership of teams.
Strong production background is preferred.
Expert knowledge and proficiency with program management processes and methodologies.
Specialized knowledge of aerospace commercial or military contracting and procurement requirements and understanding of financial and labor cost systems and production processes is preferred or transferrable experience.
Skilled at communicating and presenting program information to various levels of management, customers, and/or suppliers.
Education / Certification:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Sciences, Business or a related field. Years of directly related experience at a complex level of program management may be substituted for a formal degree.
PMP certification preferred.
Previously held security clearance is preferred. Candidate may be requested to obtain / maintain a clearance.
May be required to obtain / maintain a DOD security clearance.
Must be a U.S. Citizen – this position supports federal / government contracts.
Must have effective, fluent communication skills in verbal and written English.
