This role reports to Portfolio Manager within the Macquarie Corporate Operations Group's Operations, Finance & Risk (OFR) Technology division. In this role, you will utilise your Project Management experience and be accountable for initiatives in Market Operations Division (MOD) Technology to be delivered within scope, on time and within budget whilst ensuring quality objectives are achieved.
In this role you will be required to:
Work with key stakeholders within COG and the Business to drive delivery of projects in line with evolving business objectives and Technology's strategic roadmap.
Collaborate with teams within COG and the Business to ensure that appropriate frameworks, methodologies, processes and tools are used to achieve successful project delivery.
Ensure that all required participants (including other divisions / account teams) understand and are committed to their roles and delivery according to plan.
Ensure strong communication channels are established and maintained for all participants in the project.
Identify and manage project inter-dependencies, risks, issues, financials, and benefits realisation.
Ensure quality standards and a high level of professionalism is maintained at all times whilst ensuring adherence to process and responsibilities as outlined in the project management methodology.
Manage multiple projects of different complexity and budget in parallel.
Ensure Clarity (PPM tool) is maintained as the project source of truth.
Actively participate in the roll of out central initiatives including tracking and reporting.
Key Skills required for this role include:
Project Management: Ability to holistically manage a set of complex technology projects incorporating data warehousing, integration and software implementations, whilst also driving a structured and robust process.
Budget Management: Manage budgets for multiple projects and initiatives.
Communication: Effective communication with project stakeholders at Director levels including steering groups.
Stakeholder Engagement: Ability to engage and manage relationships with all levels of stakeholders across the organisation, and work with SMEs on detail.
You will also have:
Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
Complex problem solving skills and a broad understanding of technology and infrastructure.
Strong presentation, communication and people management skills.
Outcome focused with a strong sense of accountability and relationship management behaviours.
Project Management Certification (PRINCE II, PMP, Agile or otherwise) and be an outcome focussed self-starter.
Experience managing vendors for software applications deployed in-house or as Software-as-a-Service.
Experience with Excel and VBA (preferable).
Experience with internationally distributed delivery teams (preferable).
