|Duties and Responsibilities: |
· Overseeing inventory control and processing orders. · Oversee on-time preparation of inventory to satisfy scheduled deliveries and pickups for daily orders. · Monitoring customers through the sales staff to ensure the quality of service. · Delivering and fulfilling objectives and directions from corporate headquarters. · Manage morning load out & client will call process. · Producing and / or viewing delivery, pickup, sub-rental and over booking regular reports on a daily, weekly and monthly basis. · Implementing and completing warehouse opening, operation and closing procedures on a daily basis. · Manage data entry to accurately track rentals quantities and locations. · Oversee timely arrival, accounting and preparation of new rental inventory. · Supervise timely return, processing, cleaning and re-stocking rentals into inventory. · Supervise timely return and processing of damaged products. · Maintain all warehouse equipment in safe and working condition. · Maintain all warehouse areas including office, restrooms and storage areas in a safe, clean and working condition. · Ensure proper training of all warehouse staff on the safe usage of all warehouse machinery and equipment. · Ensure and maintain proper training and education of warehouse staff as to the numerous rental items offered by Peerless Events and Tents. · Recommend and refine improvements to existing storage, delivery, return, transport and load out Procedures. · Briefing staff on the issues for that particular day. · Establish productivity goals for each warehouse department. · Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the staff to ensure set productivity targets are met. · Maintain and manage safety standards throughout the facility. · Maintain security and integrity of the warehouse and all inventories. · Oversee that payroll and operating budget objectives are met. · Participate with General Manager in the strategic planning, administration and general management issues, which will include the day-to-day supervision of staff. · Maintain proper staffing levels at all times. · Process departmental employee payroll. · Conduct annual reviews for all employees. · Maintain recognition and incentive programs for warehouse staff. · Maintain up to date knowledge of the rental industry. - Other duties as required
Training and Experience:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: Three (3) years experience in a warehouse management / supervisory position or Five (5) years experience in a warehouse environment.
General Skills: · Valid Texas Drivers License · Experience driving 16’ & 24’ Box Trucks. · Strong verbal and written communication skills. · Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) preferred. · Strong understanding of warehouse process best practices. · A flexible, entrepreneurial spirit, capable of finding solutions in a fast-moving, growth environment. · Display an enthusiastic and friendly attitude. · Basic Microsoft Office knowledge including Excel, Word and Outlook. · Knowledge of rental products and equipment safety standards. · Basic handy man / construction skills.
Work Environment Environment is in a shared office space as well as warehouse. Position will require a flexible schedule, extended hours, or weekends to accommodate customer needs and seasonal demand. Some work will require being exposed to the outdoors or extreme temperatures within the warehouse. Company’s warehouse operation may include “shift” staffing and the successful candidate will actively ensure proper supervision of all work shifts.
