Assist department in carrying out any special tasks or projects that may be required from time to time by Unit Head.
Ensure that internal and external errors arising out of training issue (if any) and knowledge gaps are addressed.
Work closely with FCC Learning Academy to facilitate implementation of curriculum and of delivery Surveillance Academy.
Assist the units in tooling rolls outs/implementation for new system for the department.
Deliver unit specific technical training programs, New Joiner programs, Need Based Training programs, Awareness/Refresher and Specialist training programs.
Highlight/escalate any risk issues or losses immediately.
Ensure Audit readiness for Training program completion and reporting.
Support all control checks undertaken by FCC under the Operational Risk Framework.
Propose control improvements, enhancements and simplifications where appropriate.
Apply Group and FCC policies and processes (AML Surveillance, client screening, risk assessment) to manage risks.
Support relevant stakeholders to make decisions based on current and possible future policies, practices and trends.
Manage escalations on PEP/Sensitive Client issues requiring business rejection/restriction.
Provide intelligence inputs to support calibration of bank's Risk Methodologies (including aggregate client risk, product risk and country risk assessments).
In the event of serious regulatory breaches, or where risk tolerances have been breached, ensure senior management are informed and that actions are taken quickly to re-mediate and/or activities are ceased.
Track significant issues arising from FCC metrics, FCC Assurance activities, Audit reviews and regulatory inspections, providing validation of issue closure where necessary.
Design and maintain dashboards and metrics that allow FCC to dynamically monitor financial crime risk and operational performance for key FCC processes.
Provide assistance and regional coordination for global initiatives.
Help stimulate an environment where forward planning, prioritisation, deadline management and streamlined workflows and collaboratives, inclusive yet effective and efficient work practices are the norm.
Manage data sourcing activity ensuring delivery in accordance with the master data sourcing roadmap.
Ensure relevant data documentation delivery in accordance with the master data sourcing roadmap.
Manage the loading/decommissioning of MFUs into FCC Private Data Lake as scheduled.
Manage the regular audit of user permissions and approvals.
Prepare and cascade lessons learned from audit findings, FCC assurance activities and specific investigations.
Analyse significant financial crime risk events e.g. SAR's, non-compliant transactions, production order) to ensure that all connected parties, particularly cross-border are identified and reported at the appropriate levels internally across all relevant jurisdictions. Review quality of alerts/cases closures by analysts with a view to identify red flags.
Assess and understand risk profiles of products, channels and customers so as to provide transaction monitoring solutions.
Maintain a robust channel of communication with FCC teams (especially Transactions Monitoring, Quality Assurance, List ownership, Name Monitoring, SPOT, SORs) to facilitate a feedback loop o ensure quality and efficiency of the systems and processes deployed.
Keep track of emerging regulatory expectations in terms of transaction monitoring and evaluate the present state of infrastructure and processes of organisation against this.
Ensure quality of investigation undertaken in the unit satisfies the requirements of the business and local legal and regulatory requirements pertaining to respective countries.
Coordinate information requested from supported countries and Group FCCs & M relating to AML and ensure they are promptly attended to. Reviewing and where necessary submitting SARs reports to country CMLCO network, Group FCC in a timely manner.
University degree and/or training, licences, memberships and certifications.
Relevant banking knowledge in terms of customers, products, transactions and Financial Crime.
Working knowledge of internet, MS Office Suite or other business process software.
Excellent English communication and presentation skills (articulation and writing essential) and other languages i.e. Mandarin, Bahasa, Hindi are also desired.
Experience in MI design techniques creating compelling, informative and actionable views of data, with ability to share this knowledge with colleagues.
Awareness of MI technology architectures such as data warehousing as well as BI tools such as Microstrategy and tableau.
Knowledge of key AML, sanctions, proliferation's and data privacy legislation and regulation.
Regulatory or law enforcement experience preferred but not essential.
