Job Summary: Cedars Sinai's Enterprise Information Services (EIS) Department is seeking a talented PeopleSoft/Oracle Project Manager to provide Project Management standards and processes for assigned EIS Human Capital Management (HCM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and complementing technology projects. Project management responsibilities will encompass developing project schedules, managing resource requirements, budget development and oversight, and risk management for the entire project lifecycle. You will also produce regular status reports, taking action to ensure timely delivery and anticipating issues proactively, while developing contingency plans. You will facilitate communications with project sponsors, stakeholders, team members, constituents, vendors and other personnel and management in coordination with operational project leadership. Projects often involve managing across multiple business stakeholders, vendors, and other IT project teams. Establishing, maintaining and enhancing customer relationships with business and IT related partners will be essential. Participate in developing and implementing strategy/policy. The Project Manager role will involve managing small-to-large-scale and/or components of small-to-large scale projects. Job Responsibilities: 1. Lead and manage project resources throughout the project management lifecycle. Plan and manage scope, schedule, and budget for defined deliverables in accordance with project management standards and principles. 2. Lead and manage all aspects of projects and associated system integrators to deliver projects of medium to high complexity. Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, monitor project progress, and maintain proper oversight for issue resolution and escalation. 3. Lead the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of the enterprise. 4. Work with business partners on business case development and pre- project assessments for approval of projects. 5. Handles broad-based, often complex, communication for internal and/or external audiences. Creates a forum and format for ongoing open communication within functional area or among departments. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation. 6. Provide mentoring, coaching and direction setting to team members and project managers. Provides input into project team members performance on a routine basis. Promote diversity and foster teamwork, collaboration, and professional development. 7. Actively participates in cross-functional groups to solve problems across projects. Provides resources and organizational structure to promote collaborative initiatives. Utilizes a network of relationships to collect and disseminate information, build support, and secure buy-in for desired objectives. Fosters and manages productive relationships with executive level sponsors. 8. Works cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Analyzes decisions and actions for their support of the larger area's strategic direction. Works with senior management to resolve more complex problems. 9. Interacts with managers and staff in various departments to understand needs, resolve issues, and establish a strong, collaborative approach for system implementations. 10. Experience managing PeopleSoft implementation or upgrade projects.
Experience with HR or Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM), Project Funding, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Scheduling, Time and Attendance and other complementing systems and related databases.
Experience with or demonstrated understanding of an academic and research university.
Experience managing information technology projects that produce enterprise class products and services.
Formal training in conflict resolution and/or root cause analysis is desirable.
