Job Description: The Associate Vice President for Facilities Planning and Management for Iowa State University reports directly to the Senior Vice President for University Services. The AVP provides leadership to approximately 461 professional, technical, and support personnel, who manage and schedule university facilities operations and maintenance, capital projects, utilities, planning, design, and construction. This position is responsible for shaping the department to reinforce collaboration, accountability, and responsibility. Position promotes an environment that recognizes and supports diversity, creates a climate that values and recognizes initiative, excellence, continual learning, and the achievement of results. Position works with other public universities, Regents office staff, city, state, and federal government agencies, consultants, and contractors regarding a variety of matters.
