Education: Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 6 years managing federal records management and projects. Experience with the following is required: direct personnel management; writing federal records management policy; a deep understanding of how to apply records management best practices to business processes; working with electronic recordkeeping systems (i.e., Content Server/Livelink, Documentum, etc.); and working with digitization/scanning products (e.g., Kofax). Certifications from the Institute of Certified Records Managers (CRM certification) and from NARA (Federal Records Management Training - all 6 exams), and from the Project Management Institute (PMI) (Project Management Professional (PMP®) certification) are strongly desired, but not required at the start of employment. If the candidate does not have an ICRM certification, one must be obtained within 3 months of employment. If the candidate does not have a PMP certification, one must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Experience managing implementation of Kofax scanning solutions and software suite is a plus. Awareness of current federal privacy and computer security practices, and quality practices such as ISO or CMMI are desirable.
Skills: Position requires strong project management, customer interface, team management, technical, writing, and presentation skills. Also requires excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, ability to multitask, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
