Applications are now being accepted for a Project Manager with Cost Estimating focus in the Capital Projects Department at Ada County Highway District in the Boise, Idaho area. Starting wage is $23.73 - $27.29 per hour / DOQ.

The Project Manager (PM) will focus primarily on coordinating the establishment, maintenance, and operation of a cost-estimating system. This will include determining and updating cost estimating procedures as well as tracking systems and databases to maintain actual project costs and trend information. Will prepare cost estimates at various levels, as requested.
The PM is responsible to plan, organize and coordinate the scoping, concept, design, environmental system, right-of-way acquisition, and construction for assigned projects.
Must have considerable knowledge of general engineering principles and practices and cost estimating practices and procedures. Must have a good knowledge of Civil Engineering design and construction principles and practices; Engineering, spreadsheet, and word processing software. Must have a good knowledge of District programs and project parameters, scheduling methods, and project management principles related to cost estimating and budget control.
Experience in cost estimating in conjunction with construction related projects is a plus.
Coursework and/or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
Or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
