The Stanford University Department of Athletics, Physical Education and Recreation (DAPER) is currently accepting applications for the position of Business Technology Analyst. This is a highly technical position which reports to the Assistant Athletics Director, Business Strategy & Ticket Operations within the External Relations department of DAPER.
The Business Strategy department provides business insights using analytics and helps teams drive new initiatives and solutions forward. As a Business Technology Analyst, you will define the technology frameworks and systems required to solve business problems, implement solutions and present findings. Youll partner with stakeholders across a variety of Athletics business units, including Ticket Operations, Ticket Sales & Service, Marketing, Sponsorship, Development, Fan Experience, Video, Communications, Finance and Information Technology, to enhance the departments strategic and operational business capabilities in the following domains ticketing systems, data warehousing, business intelligence tools, mobile applications, marketing automation systems, CRM systems and telephony.
Summary of Essential Job Functions Own and manage the strategy and implementation of various technology initiatives that improve the departments strategic and operational business capabilities in the abovementioned domains Working with Ticket Operations, own and manage the creation of all ticketing data (customer, events, items, prices, facilities, charges) in the ticketing system to enable consistent reporting across all ticketed sports Manage the flow of information from ticketing to marketing automation, Salesforce CRM, data warehouse and visualization layer. Work with the Business Strategy Analyst to administer Salesforce CRM, including optimizing the flow of information across systems Partner with marketing, communications, and video to define business problems and implement data-driven technology solutions to support marketing automation, digital advertising and digital communications efforts Design and implement reports and dashboards for ticket sales and operations, email and digital marketing, web properties and social media Coordinate the development and execution of customer data hygiene and enhancement strategies Conduct ad hoc analysis and measurements to gauge the effectiveness of various technology initiatives
Proficiency with ticketing systems is preferred, but not required if candidate demonstrates ability to quickly learn and become proficient Proficiency with Excel and Powerpoint Ability to learn new systems and tools quickly Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task Strategic thinking that can drive multiple, concurrent projects to completion Strong communication and presentation skills, comfortable engaging stakeholders at all levels of the athletics department Passion for and strong desire to work in college athletics
