Director of Revenue Cycle Management (RCM)
This new role will be a critical component to the future of Clinicient. The core focus will be to supervise an integrated team who will focus their efforts on revenue optimization for the organization. The role will be involved in overseeing and actively managing revenue cycle projects that have a positive impact on the client and organizational bottom-line.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Hands-on management of all billing programs, systems, processes and staff to ensure accurate, timely and well-controlled activities related to billing, collections, education, and support
Identifies opportunities for process improvement, and implements them by engaging stakeholders throughout the organization
Understands interrelationships among systems and process across functional areas to redesign process, improve efficiency, and ensure optimal results
Applies thorough understanding of key business processes to effectively anticipate and address the longer term implications of decisions/actions
Maintaining knowledge of the operational details of all positions within Revenue Cycle Team
Compiling and preparing various status reports for Executive Management in order to analyze trends and make recommendations
Training and overseeing department performance including recruitment, staff development and performance improvement
Developing strategic plans and programs for the Revenue Cycle team and ensures that goals and objectives of the team are defined and attained
Formulates and makes recommendations to leadership on policies and practices relating to revenue cycle improvements
Become an expert user of the Clinicient system
Plans, organizes, coordinates and evaluates staffing requirements to meet operational goals
Assess and respond to customer needs with innovative and customer-centric programs
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration or Business or equivalent work experience; Master’s Degree preferred
5+ year’s management experience and minimum 7 years in healthcare operations and/or revenue cycle experience
PMP and/or Six Sigma Green or Black belt desirable
Expert knowledge of all laws and regulations pertaining to the collection of debts, including, but not limited to: HIPAA, FDCPA, FCRA, The Privacy Act
Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, insurance billing, denials management, and collection processes and possess working knowledge of principles and practices of revenue cycle management
Proven leadership skills with an ability to motivate teams and achieve performance goals

This position is performed primarily in an office environment. Significant portions of the job require extended sedentary periods, constant work with computers (including extended period of keyboarding), and repetitive motion of hands and wrists.
