Reporting to the CIO, this position is principally responsible for driving the development, implementation and delivery of IT project portfolio management (PPM) and IT planning processes for the Information Services & Technology (IST) division. The position works collaboratively with unit heads across the IST Division and functional office heads to translate business goals and requirements into actionable projects for the design, development and delivery of new or changed IT services and supports reporting requirements on such for the university-wide IST governance and advisory structure. The position also conducts tollgate reviews for select projects and may serve as a "hands on" project manager for select critical initiatives. The position requires the ability to clearly and concisely communicate with management across all levels of the university.

1. Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to IT project portfolio management. 2. Ten years or more professional experience in an IT-related role. 3. Five years or more of direct, progressively responsible professional experience with IT management, IT project management, IT planning and/or IT project portfolio management. 4. Professional certification in ITIL, PMP, Agile or other relevant field. 5. Demonstrated experience in developing project portfolio management strategies, processes and metrics. 6. Demonstrated ability to successfully organize and lead large complex projects. 7. Collaborative leadership experience and credibility; a strong ability to influence, persuade and negotiate with others and a demonstrated ability to achieve results 8. Highly motivated, self-directed and performance driven 9. Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment, demonstrating flexibility 10. Demonstrated ability to develop new, relevant technology skills as needed. 11. Demonstrated commitment to customer service and continual service improvement 12. Excellent interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills with all levels of the university; ability to identify the audience and adopt communication style as appropriate.
