WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO SUCCEED
A capacity to learn, synthesize, make critical judgments, place patients and families first, and collaborate with team members who are recognized leaders within health care
Bachelor's degree in: Business, Science, Engineering or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
2 to 5 years of relevant project management experience, preferably in: Healthcare, IT, or Construction
Microsoft Project or similar project management tool and Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced skill level
PMP Certified Project Manager (from Project Management Institute, or equivalent), preferred
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Project Manager in the Department of Urology at the Mount Sinai Health System (“PM”) is an extremely well-organized, perceptive management professional that thrives on clearly defined and articulated project goals and objectives. Reporting directly to the Health System's Department Administrator, you'll work closely with that senior leader to define the scope of each project, prioritize projects, allocate requisite resources, and estimate completion dates.
You'll use your strong critical thinking and problem solving capabilities, while working directly with process/task owners and key partners to identify project opportunities and barriers, resolve issues and conflicts, and report project statuses
Excellent time management, organizational and leadership skills will contribute to your success, as you may also be assigned as a project owner and/or project resource and, as such, may be responsible for the execution of projects and/or project tasks
Your ability to adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines will prove to be essential in achieving the department's vision
You'll possesses a high degree of emotional intelligence, and be a savvy verbal and written communicator
