As a Business Analyst in the Claims PMO (Program Management Office) you will be responsible for collaborating with claims management and handlers to enhance business performance. You will need strong business analysis as well as business process improvement, stakeholder management and communication skills to be successful in this role.
As a critical part of the XL Catlin Claims PMO team your responsibilities will be to:
Support the successful implementation of critical business projects through effective business analysis as well as design and delivery of process improvements for our business partners.
Documenting and analyzing the performance of business processes, identifying risks, strengths, and weaknesses with the ability to create efficient and effective operations aligned to the needs of internal and external customers.
Designing and facilitating custom built workshops to fully engage front line staff and managers in identifying improvement opportunities to drive business performance.
Collaborating with key stakeholders to identify and implement appropriate process metrics and benefits measures on initiatives.
Delivering rapid cycle change and delivering improvements within strict timeframes whilst remaining focused on the longer term improvement opportunities.
Adherence to governance plans relating to the end state claims program
In this role, you will report directly to the Change Lead for the Americas Region while working closely with other Regional Project Managers and Business Analysts to support a wide range of Global and Regional projects.
The role of Business Analyst you will aspire to demonstrate the following:
Summary: A strong track record and experience working on business transformation projects, analyzing, designing and implementing tangible improvements which deliver sustainable business performance for XL Catlin.
Strong communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, presentation, facilitation and influencing skills. Able to communicate and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Technical Skills, Strong process improvement skills: a dynamic, self-motivated business improvement consultant able to invent, design and build improvements including the design and delivery of training to support the embedding of changes within the business (e.g. process mapping, Visio, PowerPoint, Six Sigma tools).
Depending upon project management experience, lead a bespoke piece of work or a work stream through the project development life cycle including documentation (e.g. Charter, Business Requirements).
Comfortable with reviewing, and analyzing business data to support the business case and tracking of benefits (e.g. an advanced user of Excel).
Change Management: Understands and considers ‘business readiness’ as a core part of implementing successful change, considers the potential impact of change on people when developing and implementing solutions.
Problem Solving: Able to act independently; demonstrate excellent business acumen including consideration to the global and strategic aspects of a change. An imaginative, thoughtful approach to problem-solving, identify gaps and formulate a clear plan of execution to get there.
Mental agility: Innovative thinker, willing to challenge the status quo. Capable of handling highly complex situations.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Business Analyst or very similar role.
