The Business Systems Group (BSG), within the University's Information Technology Systems (ITS) organization, is responsible for the systems that support the University's Finance, Procurement, Payment, Pre and Post-Award, Research Administration, Gift Administration, Human Resources, Payroll, Faculty Lifecycle, Alumni, Development and Business Intelligence functions. This includes development of new, and support of existing, capabilities. In addition to a variety of new development initiatives, BSG is also in the process of transitioning from Oracle's Enterprise Business Suite (EBS) platform to Workday, a multi-tenant, SaaS based platform, for HR, Payroll and Finance functions.
Reporting to the Associate CIO, Business Systems Group, the Director, Data Management and Decision Support Services is responsible for leading and coordinating the data management and business intelligence functions within BSG and across Yale's administrative areas. This includes the creation and ownership of a strategic vision and plan that articulates a mature administrative data and decision support environment that helps Yale administrators and others to make the best use of data housed within and outside of Yale systems for the purpose of more effectively running the University, and the direct and indirect management of resources to move to that vision. This position will also have a leadership role on the University's strategic Workday transition program with respect to data architecture, operational reporting, and business intelligence.
