We are a non-profit consortium that negotiates license agreements for electronic resources on behalf of libraries. We are in the planning stages to transition our current Filemaker-based system for providing price quotes, tracking acquisitions, invoicing libraries, and performing renewals of subscriptions to a new management system. Our small staff of eight is bright, hard-working, and has various responsibilities.
We are in need of a Project Manager to coordinate our activities in preparing and migrating to the new system, in coordination with the development and programming team of the system provider, Consortia Manager. Responsibilities include:
working with staff to identify goals met in the system requirements document
coordinating with staff and Consortia Manager in meeting objectives and deadlines
managing internal and external communications about the migration
resolving issues (usually in collaboration with others)
reporting on progress (during preparation, testing, and implementation phases)
compiling the new system's procedure manual (consortial staff will write the actual procedures)
We are comfortable communicating electronically as well as by video and voice chat, but also have an office in downtown Los Angeles. Our Project Manager could work on- or off-site.
Ability to clearly and succinctly communicate with all parties involved.

Ability to motivate all parties to meet deadlines and complete assignments.
Excellent organization skills for compiling and distributing information and feedback.

Additional Salary Information: An hourly rate will be negotiated. The project is expected to take 4 months, from mid-February through mid-June, with an average 10 hours per week required.
