We are currently searching for an IT Project Manager to join our organization in our Washington, DC headquarters.
The Information Technology team is searching for a Project Manager to add their talents to the growing IT Project Management team. An effective Project Manager for AIR will be one who is entrepreneurial, imaginative and able to create order in a new environment.
This new PM will • Document requirements, develop schedules and budgets for projects. • Manage client and stakeholder expectations via status reports, meetings, formal and ad hoc communications. • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to defined project quality standards including service and infrastructure turnover to production. • Provide suggestions and insights to improve the AIR project management process through improved communication, streamlined processes, and enhanced tools. • Works closely with the Project Management team to: share best practices, help resolve project issues, and meet the project’s needs. • Communicate and coach IT staff on the use of a standard project management process. • Manage multiple projects of various sizes concurrently.
• Master’s Degree in MIS, Business Management or a related field and a minimum of 5 years of project management experience or a Bachelor's Degree in the above fields and a minimum of 7 years of project management experience. • Project management certification (PMP, CAPM) preferred but not required. • Strong organizational and communication skills. • Strong Leadership skills with the ability to influence people not directly managing, ability to delegate. • Highly motivated, works independently and with geographically diverse teams. • Experience in facilitating change, including collaboration with senior-level stakeholders • Background check required for this position (data access privileges).
