Teachers College (TC) Senior Manager, Data Analytics will manage and lead the organization's efforts to better leverage data to demonstrate our impact, improve our program effectiveness, add value for TC's senior leadership, faculty and administration. Teachers College uses many data-points it has accumulated to provide unique insights to current and future administrative and academic decisions. The Senior Manager, Data Analytics will help us unlock the value of that data and upgrade TC's approach to data collection, analysis, and visualization. The Senior Manager, Data Analytics will perform a range of functions in the areas of project management, design/review, development, deployment and integration of the solutions to solve TC's' data architecture, system integration and data analytics reporting challenges. Support TC's ability to collect, manage and visualize vast amounts of data to influence decision-making at all levels.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - 5+ years of progressive work experience with demonstrated expertise in the higher education sector working with on-shore/off-shore project teams in environments with complex enterprise architecture. - Extensive experience planning and deploying both business and IT initiatives. - Strong understanding of data concepts: relational databases and performance, data warehousing, big data, analytics. - Experience serving in the role of a Data Architect. - Experience using ETL tools, such as, Oracle ODI, to develop model-based representations that can be adjusted as required to collect, aggregate or disaggregate complex and conflicting information about the business. - Deep, hands-on programming experience, preferably in complex enterprise systems - Experience with mixed real-time, message-based and ETL-based data environments - Experience designing ESB messaging processes. - Experience with hosted, multi-tenant data platform specifically utilizing AWS or Azure-based technologies to support reporting, exploration and analysis. - Experience with HIPAA and FERPA compliance. - The ability to act as liaison conveying information needs of the business to off-shore development teams. - Team player able to work effectively at all levels of an organization with the ability to influence others to move toward consensus. - The ability to recognize structural issues within the organization, functional interdependencies and provide a technical impact assessment. -The ability to apply enterprise architecture principles and data modeling principles to business solutions.
