The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for developing in-house applications, system integrations, batch processes, web development, data warehousing and report development. The position will require a successful candidate to wear many technical hats and create sustainable relationships to provide consultative support to business units. This position will report to the Programmer/Analyst Team Lead and Director of Enterprise Applications. This position will also be responsible for working on the college data warehouse and business intelligence environments.
The successful candidate will be technically adept, a self-starter, passionate about technology and software, communicative, collaborative, and be able to analyze business processes in order to understand where technology may or may not provide solutions.
- Minimum two (2) years experience with hands-on applications development and relational database experience. - Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. - Strong customer service orientation, consultative, creative, collaborative. - Willing to work in a multivariate environment with competing deadlines and priorities. - Ability to think strategically while maintaining a practical outlook. - Ability to teach himself/herself new technologies, programming languages, methodologies in order to facilitate change.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related preferred. - Project management experience. - Familiarity with agile development methodologies. - Proficiency in the following languages, frameworks, technologies: Java/Spring, Groovy/Grails, Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, Git, Amazon Web Service, REST APIs, Argos, HTML, Javacript, CSS, ETL. Oracle ODI, and Tableau. - Knowledgeable about industry best practices, design patterns, standards. - Experience with data warehousing, enterprise reporting, and business intelligence. - Willingness to work outside of normal business hours when necessary. - Experience with Ellucian Banner.
