The challenge? Helping our communities stay safely on the move. Our Journeyman Transportation Consultant/Engineer career path is your opportunity to work on exciting and engaging transportation engineering and construction projects. Each day you will have the opportunity to lead projects and mentor other staff. You should be a self-motivated professional with a proven and successful track record in highway design projects, possess a BS in Civil Engineering with a focus on Transportation, and have broad knowledge of AutoCAD and Land Development Desktop (LDD). Experience with CAiCE or other design software will be an asset, along with exceptional teamwork and communication skills. You will build upon prior experience in an engineering consulting environment with exposure to transportation engineering and construction, as well as have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each transportation job and project. Our Transportation Consultants/Engineers:
- Lead projects and mentor other staff
- Provide technical guidance
- Commonly supervise small numbers of professional and technical staff
- Take full accountability for planning, directing, organizing and coordinating assignments
- Fully understands the customers needs and how the project relates to other elements of the clients organization and to other projects
- Maintain frequent contact with internal and external clients
- Contribute extensively with client relationships, business development and business opportunities
- Work on assignments with broad objectives
